Baker & Foodie - Cookies!

 

I am attempting to get new foods into my daughter.  She recently tried Reese's Peanut Butter Cups and really enjoyed them, so I was hopeful that peanut butter might be enjoyed as well.  Sadly no, which meant we were left with a large pot of peanut butter.

So we made these three ingredient peanut butter cookies.  Unfortunately, she wasn't keen on them either, even coated with custard.  Luckily, they are gluten and dairy free, which means I can eat them, but doesn't help with the calorie counting!

However, I am determined to get her liking peanut butter, so as well as this being Clause 3 of the Baker Badge (three types of biscuit), this is also Clause 9 of the Foodie Badge (three variations on the same dish).  I'm going to attempt a regular recipe that involves more ingredients, perhaps the flour will help take away some of the peanutiness?!  

Also going to try a Vegan recipe so I don't need an egg.  We are going to experience an egg shortage apparently because of the Avian Flu outbreak, so I will be relying on my free-loading chickens to give us eggs.  They are now laying less due to less hours of daylight.
